Some display much movement, others little. Protists are classified as microscopic, one-celled organisms. Some form colonies of many cells and may have qualities of both animals and plants. Some make their own food through photosynthesis. Amoeba moves by forming false feet. Parameciun is with a group of protozones that have short, hair like structures called cillia all over their bodies. They use the cillia live oars to move and to sweep food into their mouths. Others have whiplike structures called flagella for moving through watery surroundings. A fourth group is parasites. Protists affect their living things by algae being helpful to everyone.
