Bali

Bali has warm temperatures, and is a great place to go for a summer holiday with the family. Temperatures range from 20-33°C.The flora is surprising and the Fauna is beautiful. The largest landscape in Bali is the Gunug Agung, which is 3124m in height.
The Balinese decended from the Dutch, who were first in Bali in 1597. By the time of 1950, Bali was a part of the Republic of Indonesia.The population of Bali consists of over 3 million residents, of which 5% are Muslim, and 95% are Bali-Hindus.
The Balinese eat a wide variety of food, and Nasi, which is rice, is served with every meal. Some popular dishes are: Soto (spicy chicken soup), Satay,& Babi Guling, which is roast pig.Bali is famous for it's coffee, but the prefered drink is Air-Jeruk, a hot citrus drink.
Balinese dress lightly to suit their tropical needs. Women wear long skirts and short shirts, and men wear sarongs, and western style shirts, or some go bare-chested.The headdress is called a Udeng.
A popular drama show is called Wayang Kulit. This is a shadow puppet. It goes from Evening to Morning, and during the performance, it is believed that the audiance is protected from evil spirits.The most important fesival in Bali is the Galungan. It celebrates the triumph of good over evil, and the creation of the world. The Balinese new year is called Nyepi, and is celebrated by a day of silence. Theses are only 2 of the many festivals in Bali.
