Hi my name is Kyle and am going to talk about Dee Horton the inventor of slide doors.

Dee Horton is the inventor of slide doors, Dee Horton invented the slide door in 1954 and it was first made in Horton Automatics and sold in 1960. Dee Horton needed a partner so he got a partner to help him before the Horton Company was made. Dee Horton’s partner’s name was Lew Hewitt. He helped Dee Horton on inventing and making the automatic slide door after the company was built.

The slide doors started to be known around the world and the first slide door to be sold was sold to a old hotel called Driscoll hotel in America in London on 172 new Kent road elephant and castle London,se1 4yt.

Dee Horton made the slide doors because people were too lazy to open the old normal doors so Dee Horton made slide doors so it would be easy to open or the door opens by it self.
