Hi, I am Mara Whitehorse. You do not know me because I do not exist.
Nymphs are spirits of natural objects such as trees, rivers, streams, and mountains. Nymphs are represented by beautiful maidens. In Greek mythology, dryads and hamadryads are spirits of trees. Dryads live in forests while hamadryads have connections with specific trees. As long as the tree was alive the nymph lived. Oreads are the nymphs of the mountains. Naiads are water nymphs, inhabiting streams and river. These beautiful maidens transformed into the object it represented.
