Daggers, the universal weapon!

Age: 14From: Restricted information, AZ

Hi, I am Mara Whitehorse. You do not know me because I do not exist.

The stealthy assassin slipped quietly down the darkened stone hallway, his dark cloak swirling silently around his feet. When he came to the end of the hallway he waited listening for any sound of approach. Having convinced himself that there was no one coming he hovered by the thick wooden door and listened breathlessly. The sounds of gently snoring greeted him. Smiling darkly, his white teeth shining in the pale light, he slid the door open and entered the room.
He now stood in the shadowy chamber of the Lord Mattenus. Pale moonlight from a large picture window illuminated the large canopy bed in the middle of the chamber. The assassin moved across the chamber, avoiding a large chest with gold trim, to the canopy bed his silent form cutting through the pale moonlight like a malevolent phantom. The assassin stood over the sleeping for of Lord Mattenus slowly slipping a dagger from beneth his cloak. The dagger glinted as it caught a shaft of moonlight. Moving with sudden quickness the assassin plunged the dagger into the sleeping Lord's heart. The Lord stiffened then relaxed the life disappearing from his face.
Leaving the bloodied dagger imbedded in the dead Lord, the assassin hurried away knowing it would be hours before anyone discovered the dead Lord.

Daggers are small doubled edged swords that are easy to conceal. Daggers were made to be thrown or to be stabbed into someone at close range. Some daggers were designed so that they could be pushed up in holes in the enemy's armour. Some daggers had reinforced blades and handles so they could be stabbed through the enemy's armour. Daggers became one of the favorite weapons in the Dark Ages. Daggers are my favorite weapon.
