Hi everybody! This is Alison and you're visiting my web page! Right now it's really not all that interesting, but I promise that in the near future, it will be! So let's start with the basics, shall we? My name is Alison. I was born in New York City, and raised on Long Island. This is my second house that I have lived in. I moved here 9 years ago from Flushing, Queens, and I now live in New Hyde Park with my mom, dad, fifteen year old sister Christine and a mean parakeet, Pollineasia, named after the bird from the original Dr.Doolittle. My two all-time best friends are Monica and Mallory. I go to Great Neck South Middle School regularly where my favorite subject is Spanish. I am 12 years old and in the 6th grade. My favorite sport is soccer, and I am on a division 2 travel team called the Aristocats. My favorite foods are pizza and Chinese food, and my favorite movies are "Austin Powers", "The Big Hit", and "Lady And The Tramp". My favorite music gruop is The Backstreet Boys and my favorite Backstreet Boy is Brian Littrell. My favorite movie actor is Mark Wahldberg (he is so increddibly hot!)! My favorite type of M&M's are the peanut ones. Wow! That was a lot in one breath!
MOVIE/BOOK REVIEW
**This weeks topic/theme/jenre: Mideveal times
I recently completed the book "The Castle In The Attic", by Elizabeth Winthorp. It is about a boy named William who brings a lead knight to life, is shrunken down to his size, travels back in time and embarks on the journey of his life! I thought that the book was fair and that it was made for children from grades 3-5 and for that age group, it was good with fun-loving characters, a good moral, and an interesting plot twist. However, my class of 6th grade read this together, and for our age, it wasn't very good. The story seemed childish as the characters, and the plot of the story seemed twisty, allright! It seemed impossible! If you are in the age group that I recomended the book for, enjoy! It really is something that you will like! But if you are in my age group and you are looking for a good read from that time period (Mideveal ages), I suggest another book about a someone going on a quest called "Ella Enchanted". You can find both of these books at a library near you. If you are looking for some sort of movie from that time period, I suggest the Disney movie "A Kid In King Arthur's Court", which is again, intended for younger viewers, but I feel that it is a fun family film for all ages to enjoy. If you are looking for a good book with a specific theme and would like to hear my reviews of books or movies from that jenre, please e-mail me at RockaGal02@aol.com. Thanks a bunch!
