Green Day To Take Break From Road So Billie Joe Can Become Dad ... Again
Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong and wife Adrienne are expecting a child, the couple's second, in September, and the band will take a break from the road in mid-August to address those family matters. The couple are already parents to a three-year-old son, Joey.
The band has been touring almost non-stop for the last six months, and fans won't have to wait too long to see Green Day live, as the band hopes to return to the road in the early winter.
In the meantime, Green Day is up for a pair of MTV Video Music Awards, "Best Alternative Music Video" and the "Viewer's Choice Award," for "Time of Your Life," with the festivities and awards slated to be handed out on September 10.

Fastball To Shoot "Fire Escape" Video
Fastball is about to shoot a video for "Fire Escape," the second single from their album "All The Pain Money Can Buy," the follow-up to their first chart-topping effort, "The Way."
The big-budget shoot will take place in Los Angeles from August 3 to 5, under the auspices of director Francis Lawrence who has most recently graced our screens with Aerosmith's current single, "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing." Other Lawrence credits include Third Eye Blind, Sarah McLachlan and Coolio.
Hollywood Records are remaining mum on plot details.
"It's such a totally weird concept," says the publicist, "we can't really talk about it at this point."
The band has some big shoes to fill, albeit their own. The production of "The Way" won them an MTV Music Awards nomination in the "Best New Artist in a Video" category.
"Fire Escape" will also prove the trio's versatility. Fans of "The Way" may be temporarily confused by the new effort, which features guitarist Miles Zuniga on vocals. "The Way" was sung by bassist Tony Scalzo.
Fastball is currently wrapping up a tour in Europe and will be embarking on the H.O.R.D.E. festival starting in August. The band is currently planning their own headlining tour for October.
UPDATE-----Even More-----UPDATE
As Harvey Danger considers directors and treatments for its next single, "Private Helicopter," the band is already looking forward to being elevated from being an opening act for others to headlining its own tour, which starts on September 10 in Buffalo, New York.
The Seattle band has yet to settle on a concept for the video for "Helicopter," the follow-up to Danger's break-through single, "Flagpole Sitta," but is clear about the message of the song, a paean to love lost.
"It's about that one moment after you've gone to bed ... alone," vocalist Sean Nelson told the MTV Radio Network, "and you start thinking, 'God, I still would like this person,' but it would require such a big change of everything, like all the things that I've put in place since we broke up -- just to even talk to them again. And that was the idea, and then it stretched out to include a friend and became your basic pop-longing song."
Joining Harvey Danger on the road will be Creeper Lagoon and Spoon until October 2, at which point Actionslacks and Death Cab for Cutie assume the opening gig.
