Hi !! You may call me Electra !! This page is dedicated to the best musical ever : CATS !!!!! You will have to excuse me , because I think that I AM a CAT !! My favorite female cat is the young Electra. My favorite male cat is Munkustrap ! On this page, I will explain to you the different purr- sonalities of all the cats in CATS !!
1. Rum Tum Tugger : The Curious Cat !! His name suits him very well ! He is the " Elvis Cat" , if you will. He ALWAYS gets what he wants !
2. Munkustrap : this friendly, quiet, stately cat is respected by all of the other cats for his leading ability. He is a large, grey tabby cat, who helps sing about the other cats in the show. He is always ready to lend a helping hand to any fellow cat !
3. Old Deuteronomy : he is the leader of all the Jellicles ! He is the one who will choose which Jellicle will go to the Heaviside Layer.
4. Skimbleshanks : The Railway Cat ! He is an orange , hyperactive cat who manages the railway, and makes sure that nothing will go wrong !
5.Tumblebrutus : he is the kitten who wants to be just like Munkustrap and Tugger. He watches every move they make ! He is quite the clumsy kitten though ! He is very interesting to watch on stage !
6.Pouncival : Pouncival is another male kitten who is bouncy and happy. He can sometimes be found hanging with Tumblebrutus.
7. Coricopat: he is one of the " Mystical Twins" . He is almost ALWAYS found hanging around his sister: Tantomile. Coricopat is a mixture of black, brown, and grey.
8.Alonzo: he is an orange and black cat, who gets envolved in a fight with a threatening cat named " Macavity". Alonzo also is in a relationship with a cat known as " Demeter".
9.Mr. Mistoffelees: The Original Conjuring Cat !! This is THE magical cat of the show ! He is the cat who brings Old Deuteronomy back after the catnapping.
10. Asparagus: or Gus. " Gus is the cat at the theater door. " Gus was once a top of the line actor in his prime !! He played MANY famous parts in the theater. In the show- he recalls his memory of when he played a pirate cat named Growltiger. He shows the audience that he still has what it takes to preform like a young feline again.
11.Bustopher Jones : he is the " Cat about the town" ! Bustopher will sit and talk with his friends at a one of his favorite joints for hours ! He is respected by all Jellicles.
12. Plato : he is just a" chorus cat ", and has no solos or any known obvious features.( He has a very interesting costume though !)
13. Macavity: is the" Mystery Cat" ! He is not one of the Jellicles - but comes to the ball , planning to take Old Deuteronmy from the Jellicles.
14. The Great Rumpus Cat : he is a black cat with shining, red eyes that glow ! He is the cat who frightens all of the " Dogs" away.
15.Mungojerrie: he is a mischievous and comical cat that lives with a young girl kitten named Rumpleteazer.When they work together , there is no level of trouble that they can't reach ! He is quite the silly cat too ! He often goofs around on stage.
16. Sillabub: she is the youngest Jellicle at the ball ! She is a cute, white, brown, and black kitten. She can often be seen hanging around her fellow kitten friend, Victoria. Sillabub gets a solo in " Memory" too !!
17. Victoria: she is the pure white Jellicle cat ! She is a quiet and energetic kitten. She can often be seen with her best friend, Sillabub. Victoria gets a solo dance at " The Invitation to the Jellicle Ball " !!
18. Rumpleteazer : she is Mungojerrie's partner in trouble- making ! She is an orange,yellow, and white kitten who LOVES to get into trouble with her pal, Mungojerrie !! Together- these cats are top-of-the-line mischief makers !!
19. Jellylorum : she is a grey, yellow and orange cat. She is VERY kind and careing for the kittens. She get's along with almost all of the Jellicles. ( All but Grizabella !) She protects the kittens from Grizabella when she arrives, for fear that the kittens will see such a bad example. In Growltiger's Last Stand , Jellylorum changes costume , and plays the part of the beautiful, Persian cat known as" Griddlebone".
20. Bombalurina : she is the slinky, calico cat !! She tries to impress Tugger through out the intire show !! However - Tugger is so self - absorbed, that he doesn't even notice her ! She can be found flirting with all the male cats, along with the all of the guys in the audience !
21. Demeter: she is Bombalurina's best friend. Demeter is very jumpy and some-what paranoid. She is in a relationship with Alonzo. She looks a lot like Bombalurina, but her costume is a little less brighter than her's.
22. Jennyanydots : she is the nanny to all of the Jellicles !! She is cook, musician, and teacher all in one !! She also is very fond of the kittens and is , most of the time, found hanging around them. She also feels that it is her duty to protect them from danger !
23. Tantomile : she is the sister of Coricopat. They are known as the " Mystical Twins". Tantomile and Coricopat can detect when bad things are about to happen, including : Macavity's visit , and the return of Grizabella.
24.Electra : ( only in the London production) . Electra is my FAVORITE CAT ! She is a cute, curious, multi-colored kitten that likes to show off on stage !! She can often be found hanging around Etcetera.
25. Etcetera : she is Electra's best friend. She is a white, orange, and brown kitten that is OBSSESSED with Tugger !! She is often seen trying to just get him to look at her !
26. Grizabella : she once was known as " Grizabella the Glamour Cat " , but now- she is tattered and torn. She left the Jellicles to see what the world was like. When she came back, no one recognized her, and they all mocked, and scoffed at her. The Jellicles did not want their kittens to see her, because they are but innocent little kittens, and they don't need to see such a horrible example. Grizabella can only recall on her memory, of the time she new what happiness was. Later, the 2 kittens: Victoria and Sillabub see Grizabella for the real cat that she is. In the end, Grizabella is the cat who takes the journey to the Heavyside Layer !
All right.I am no longer doing the CAT of the Month , but instead, I am going to recognize my own choice of a character for a more in depth study on the character. You will find the " Recognized CAT of the Week" on my message to the world ! BYE !!

Demeter!
Demeter is a very complex character in CATS. Her character is kind of jumpy, and she's always on the alert. She's kind of high-strung, and likes to hang around her best friend, Bombalurina. Demeter's mate is Alonzo, and after the Macavity fight, she attends to his wounds in the spotlight. ( Courtesy of Pouncival) Demeter is the feline who is almost kidnapped( Okay....okay...for you punny people:" Catnapped") by Macavity. However, with the help of her love, Alonzo, and the help of Munkustrap...she is saved and out of harm. She gets to sing with Bombalurina in "Grizabella: The Glamour Cat", and also with Bombalurina in :" Macavity".
