about a possible break up of

not be breaking up. The
Boys were on the set of their

Life," the video will be
futuristic and full of

MTV VMA Nominations Announced
July 28, 1999: This morning the MTV Video Music Awards nominations were announced by Ricky Martin. The Backstreet Boys were nominated in 4 categories including Video Of The Year, Viewers Choice, Best Pop Video, and Best Group Video. Here are who BSB is up against:

BSB TO RELEASE US TOUR DATES.
BSB U.S. TOUR--WB Radio Music Awards
The WB network will be having the first ever
"WB Radio Music Awards" on October 28 at
8PM ET. Recently, "Felicity" starts Scott Foley
and Amy Jo Johnson, and radio DJ Rick Dee,
host of Rick Dee's Top 40, annnounced the
nominees. The award show will broadcast live
from Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las
Vegas, Nevada. The Backstreet Boys are
nominated for Best Makeout Song, and Artist
Of The Year In Adult Comtemporary.

Recently, AJ got a new
tattoo around his belly button of his lucky number, 69.

HERE IS THE ANSWER.

AJ and Howie were auditioning for local plays in Orlando,
Florida. They kept bumping into Nick then they formed a trio.
Lou Pearlman discovered their singing and decided the trio
needed to add a couple more voices to make the harmony
richer. Lou had a friend who knew Kevin (who was working at
Disneyworld at the time). Then he called his cousin Brian who
was in Lexington, Kentucky. Brian was in class when he got
the call from Kevin. Without thinking, Brian took a flight to
Orlando the next day. Brian auditioned for the group and of
course became a Backstreet Boy!

Where did their group name come from?

There was a market called "The Backstreet Market" in
Orlando, Florida. It was a local teen hangout so the boys took
Backstreet from it, added boys, BACKSTREET BOYS!


Didja Know???

In the time between the end of the Backstreet Boys'
last tour, several of them bought new cars.

Howie's stage name from his early auditions was
Tony Donetti.

Nick was offered a part on Disney's the Mickey
Mouse Club but turned it down to be a Backstreet
Boy.

The Backstreet Boys and N Sync, along with some
other artists played a charity basketball game in
Europe. Nick, Brian, Kevin, Howie, and N Sync's
Lance were on the team called the Vipers, and N
Sync's JC, Chris, Joey, Justin, and BSB's AJ were
on the team called the Flyers.

AJ has 10 tattoos all together now.

Britney Spears and AJ use to live in the same
apartment complex when AJ and the Backstreet
Boys were in the process of getting together.

The sleepiest member of BSB is considered to be
Kevin because he sleeps in a lot.

Kevin's favorite Backstreet Boys are Brian and AJ
because Brian is his cousin and they are close, and
AJ because Kevin is proud of how much he's grown.

AJ's favorite Backstreet Boy is Howie because
they've known eachother for a long time.

Nick and AJ are considered the slobs of the group.

AJ is usually the one in the group who is always
borrowing money from everyone. But Kevin is usually
the one who doesn't have the right currency for that
country.

Boys' latest European tour. Next up, LFO (Lyte
Funkie Ones) will be opening for the Backstreet

1- Nick is afraid of the dark. But he also says "...sometimes, if I don't think about the room being dark
and Martians in the closet, I can go to sleep real easy. But I'll never hang my feet off the end of the
bed- I'm afraid little gremlins will bite my toes! Really!"

2- His favorite Nintendo games are 'Alien Trilogy' and 'Mortal Combat Trilogy', and he takes them with
him when he's on tour.

6- Once, the other BSB's threw him out of a dressing room with his under-drawers (pants) on in front
of a whole bunch of girls. He got real mad, but the guys thought it was really funny!

7- One of the worst moment Nick has ever experienced was the death of his dog, Booboo, in the
summer of '94. In his own words "I went out for the day on the boat with my family. We decided to
leave Booboo at home because we would be back in a couple of hours. But Booboo escaped from
the garden and tried to catch up with us when we were setting off to sea. He jumped in the water and
got caught up in the propeller. He drowned. It was really sad and I cried a lot."

8- Nick brings photos of his animals, house, family and friends while he's away on tour.

9- The guys film their fans on a video camera to show the enthusiasm to their parents. Nick says
"Before showing the film to our parents, we cut out the bits where girls throw condoms and
underwear at us on stage." However, the hysteria around them is nothing new to Nick's parents,
who've already been on tour with him.

10- Nick has never been in love.

11- The guys say that Nick got ill on a small van on tour last year. They had to stop so he could be
sick. His argues that it was only because the driver kept jerking the van around, and that he's
normally okay.

12- Nick's got the biggest feet out of everyone in the group.

13- Nick's first kiss was with a girl called Bryn, whom he went out with for about a year. She used to
be in the same musical as him.
