With the last year's brand Light the new block, and For good success in his spending, On your Psaltries play, That sweet luck may Come while the log is a-tinding. Drink now the strong beer, Cut the white loaf here, The while the meat is a-shredding; For the rare mince-pie And the plums stand by To fill the paste that's a-kneading. Christmas-Eve, Another Ceremony Come guard this night the Christmas-Pie, That the thief, though ne'er so sly, With his flesh-hooks, don't come nigh To catch it From him, who all alone sits there, Having his eyes still in his ear, And a deal of nightly fear To watch it. Another to the Maids Wash your hands, or else the fire Will not tind to your desire; Unwashed hands, ye maidens, know, Dead the fire, though ye blow. Another Wassail the trees, that they may bear You many a plum, and many a pear: For more or less fruits they will bring, As you do give them wassailing. An Ode of the Birth of our Savior In numbers, and but these few, I sing Thy birth, Oh, Jesu! Thou pretty Baby, born here, With sup'rabundant scorn here: Who for Thy princely port here, Hadst for Thy place Of birth, a base Out-stable for Thy court here. Instead of neat inclosures Of interwoven osiers, Instead of fragrant posies, Of daffodils and roses, Thy cradle, kingly Stranger, As Gospel tells, Was nothing else, But, here, a homely manger. But we with silks (not cruels), With sundry precious jewels, And lily-work will dress Thee Of clouts; we'll make a chamber, Sweet Babe, for Thee, Of ivory, And plastered round with amber. The Jews they did disdain Thee, But we will entertain Thee With glories to await here Upon Thy princely state here, And more for love, than pity. From year to year We'll make Thee, here, A free-born of our city. The New-year's Gift Let others look for pearl and gold, Tissues, or tabbies manifold: One only lock of that sweet hay Whereon the blessed Baby lay, Or one poor swaddling-clout, shall be The richest New-year's gift to me. A Christmas Carol, Sung to the King in the Presence at White-Hall [CHORUS] What sweeter music can we bring, Than a carol, for to sing The birth of this our heavenly King? Awake the voice! Awake the string! Heart, ear, and eye, and everything. Awake! the while the active finger Runs division with the singer. [VOICE 1] Dark and dull night, fly hence away, And give the honor to this day, That sees December turned to May. [2] If we may ask the reason, say The why, and wherefore, all things here Seem like the springtime of the year? [3] Why does the chilling Winter's morn Smile, like a field beset with corn? Or smell, like to a mead new-shorn, Thus, on the sudden? [4] Come and see The cause, why things thus fragrant be: 'Tis He is born, whose quickening birth Gives life and luster, public mirth, To heaven, and the under-earth. [CHORUS] We see Him come, and know Him ours, Who, with His sunshine, and His showers, Turns all the patient ground to flowers. [1] The darling of the world is come, And fit it is, we find a room To welcome Him. [2] The nobler part Of all the house here, is the heart, [CHORUS] Which we will give Him; and bequeath This holly, and this ivy wreath, To do Him honor; who's our King, And Lord of all this reveling. [The musical part was composed by Master Henry Lawes.] The Star-Song: A Carol to the King; Sung at White-Hall [KING 1] Tell us, thou clear and heavenly tongue, Where is the Babe but lately sprung? Lies He the lily-banks among? [KING 2] Or say, if this new birth of ours Sleeps, laid within some ark of flowers, Spangled with dew-light; thou canst clear All doubts, and manifest the where. [KING 3] Declare to us, bright star, if we shall seek Him in the morning's blushing cheek, Or search the beds of spices through, To find Him out? [STAR] No, this ye need not do; But only come, and see Him rest A princely Babe in's mother's breast. [CHORUS] He's seen, He's seen, why then a round, Let's kiss the sweet and holy ground; And all rejoice, that we have found A King, before conception crowned. [3 KINGS] Come then, come then, and let us bring Unto our pretty Twelfth-tide King, Each one his several offering; [CHORUS] And when night comes, we'll give Him wassailing: And that His treble honors may be seen, We'll choose Him King, and make His mother Queen. Christ's Birth One birth our Savior had; the like none yet Was, or will be a second like to it. A Man Who Lived in Leeds There was a man who lived in Leeds; He filled his garden with seed. And when the seeds began to grow, It was like a garden filled with snow. But when the snow began to melt, It was like a ship with out a belt. And when the ship began to sail, It was like a bird without a tail. And when the bird began to fly, It was like an eagle in the sky. And when the sky began to roar, It was like a lion at my door. And when the door began to crack, It was like a penknife in my back. And when my back began to bleed-- I was dead, dead, dead indeed! It has black weather-beaten shutters and broken windows and has been completely abandoned since 1956. The shingles are loose and make slapping noises against the house when the wind blows. The creaking that can be heard are caused by the shutters and the leaves rustle in the trees. It is 1997 and a new family, the Dickersons, are moving in. They have a son, named Chris, who is ten. He is four-feet-ten inches tall. He has blond hair and blue eyes. He looks at a picture of the badly out of shape house. It reminds him of a movie he saw with a haunted house full of killers, but his parents kept saying, "We'll renovate it and soon you will feel at home." As time goes on, Chris develops a friendship with a boy named Steve and some other kids who go to Katzhead Elementary School. One day, Chris had Steve over after school. Steve said, "Many people believe this house is haunted, but it isn't true." Anyway, they came home and had a snack of milk and home-baked cookies. "These are delicious, Mrs. Dickerson," said Steve. "Thank you," Mrs. Dickerson said. "Let's go play soccer," said Chris. "O.K," said Steve. Off they went. An hour later they came back. "Who won?" said Mrs. Dickerson. "We did, against some kids from the park," Chris said. "What was the score?" asked Mrs. Dickerson. "Five to three, us," said Steve. "Oh, good," said Mrs. Dickerson. "Can Steve sleep over?" implored Chris. "Well...call Mrs. Peck and ask," Mrs. Dickerson said. So they did and Mrs. Peck said, "Yes." The day after the sleepover, Chris was asked to clean the basement. While he was down there, he saw many interesting things. Swords, old bibles, and The Secret Howl by Rosebud E-mail: ndd@swbell.com A couple of months ago, me and some friends went camping. We usually camp for 3 or 4 days. This time we stayed about 6 days. On the second night we were their my friend Stacy said she heard a howling noise. I didn't think nothing of it, we were in the woods. For the next couple of days all we heard were these terible noises. It was like something was dying it was in pain. we tried looking for it but it was hopeless. The noise sounded very close. The sixth night we were there we was about to go to sleep, when Mike was about to pour water over the fire, the howling noise came back, but this time you knew something was here, you could see something walking towards the the fire the footsteps were in the dirt . Stacy tried to run, but something bit her in the arm she was bleeding very bad. I knew she needed to got to the hospital, but what was we going to tell them that something invisable bit her. Right when we was about to leave the thing disappeared, and the bit on Stacy was gone there was no trace that something bit her. All of my friends saw what happend that night. When we got back to town, we went to the libary to see if there was news clippings about the woods. We found 12 related incidents. Me and my freinds will never go to those woods again This really is a true story. We've told people and they don't believe us. The Ghost of the Old Lady by Derek W. E-mail:dweimer@one.net I lived in a house for 7 years. The house was built in 1954. There had been only two owners before us, and only one of them had died in the house. Anyway, I was home on a summer day and I was expecting a friend of mine to come over. I was running late in getting ready and had placed a note on the front door asking him to come in, just in case I did not hear him knock. I finished getting ready and he had still not shown up. Finally I heard the front door open up and someone walking in. I yelled out "Steve", but no one answered. I thought "Well, he's trying to be tricky". I heard the footsteps as they walked across the downstairs dining room floor (hardwood floors in the house) and started up the stairs. At the top of the stairs my room is on the immediate left. My door was partly closed so I could not see who was coming up the steps. When the footsteps reached the top of the stairs they stopped. I thought "Doesn't he know I heard him, and I know that he is standing right outside my door?" I waited a second and even called out his name. No one answered. At this point I thought I had an intruder in the house and I reached for an old World War II bayonet I keep on my shelves. As I peered around my door I saw a fast moving black shape move into the room down the hall. It looked small and somewhat hunched over. I followed it into the room and searched for over 15 minutes. No one was to be found and there was no way out of the room. The room did feel somewhat cold for a summer day with the windows open. I found nothing. To this day I wonder if it was the ghost of the old lady who died in the house. Sometimes we heard low noises in the attic and such but not much out of the ordinary. Prologue Outside the house the clouds are sailing soundless past the icecold streak of light from the moon. Some weak light came into the house. There ran little rats around in the house, anxious to find food to gnaw on. It only heard their squeak from the small animals. Suddenly they snatched and a rumbling hiss heard in the darkness and the rats could see a pair of glowing eyes in the dark. The rats run around in panic. The danger was swift as lightning and one of the rats wasnīt fast enough. One of them have to die. The dangerīs claws thrust inside the little rat, the life left it slowly and the arms of death winded it in cramp-like pullings. The danger squeeze even harder their claws into the little rat to be sur it was dead. The danger looked around and saw that all the other rats was gone. The danger eat the rat and when it was finish with the meal. The dangerīs face looked as it was smiling of satisfaction, the deathīs triumphal procession, a madmans laughter of joy, for The danger have inconsiderateness as the Grim reaper. The Grim reaper by Roger Thoor Chapter 1 Jonny had just came in to his the house after the nice wet party. He mumble for himself that the cab was to expensive. He only thought so because he was to drunk and he had just enough with money to tha cabdriver. His wife and his best friend would come later. Maybe a half hour (or whatever it takes to make love). In a drunken lur he took of his shoes in hall. Stagger into the livingroom, took of his overcoat and throwed it on a armchair. He went to the bardisc and poured himself a drink. He sat down on the livingrooms table which was made of glass. He felt that the room was spinning around like a merry-go-round. A fREAK'N roundabout. Johnny swept the drink, left the glass on the table and went for more liquor. He stumbles and he hit his chest hard on the edge of the bardisc. He pulled a face and mumbled some bad language. He hold for his chest when stagger back with the bottle back to the table. Poured more STUFF in his glass. Above him it was a heavy large crystal lamp. e's GONNA EAT ME!!!! AAAAHHHHHHH!!!! THE END!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!! THE HUMAN SHADOW They say there are places on this planet which have seen such tragedy and sorrow that they are forever cursed. It's as if the earth itself holds some dark supernatural force beyond our understanding. A few years ago, I found such a cursed place just a few miles west of Atlanta, Georgia - a tiny hamlet called New Hope. And even though many people don't believe the story I'm about to tell, my visit there haunts my dreams to this day. At one time, I was a 35-year-old small business owner living in a tiny town in rural Virginia. This town was so tiny and remote that it took us several years to finally discover a brand new invention that was already revolutionizing the world - the Internet. But once I was online, I quickly left my nine to five job and went into business for myself in the new "dot com" economy. I didn't have a brilliant business mind, but my father, a rabid Civil War enthusiast, had taught me to do one thing very well - hunt for Civil War artifacts. Bullets, belt buckles, coins, uniform buttons - the Virginia battlefields were full of them. So I quickly opened up my own Web site hawking Civil War memorabilia at high prices. I'm a bit ashamed to admit it now, but profit was much more important to me in those days than respect for the dead. It didn't matter to me if a battlefield was located on protected land or not. Under cover of darkness, I would sneak onto the property with my shovel and trusty metal detector, and would steal away as many artifacts as I could find. But it wasn't long before other relic hunters got in on the act, and competition became fierce. Verbal threats and fistfights became common amongst rival hunters, and I knew it was time to hunt for relics elsewhere. I remembered studying about Union General William T. Sherman's devastating "March to the Sea" in Georgia, and figured that somewhere along that long path from Chattanooga, Tennessee, down through Atlanta, and south to Savannah there must be a treasure trove of artifacts. So that spring, I hopped in my truck and drove south to Georgia to see what I could find. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~LYRICS~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~DESTINY'S CHILD~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ DESTINY'S CHILD BUG A BOO You make me wanna throw my pager out the window Tell MCI to cut the phone poles Break my lease so i can move Cuz you're a bug-a-boo a bug-a-boo I wanna put your number on the call block Have AOL make my e-mail stop Cuz you're a bug-a-boo you're buggin' what ya buggin' who ya buggin' Me and dont you see in aint cool Its not hot That you be callin' me stressin' me pagin' my beeper your juss nonstop And its not hot That you be leavin' me messages every ten mintues and then u stop by When i first met you, you were cool But it was game you had me fooled Cuz 20 mintues after i gave you my number you already had my mailbox full So what you bought a pair of shoes What now i guess you think i owe you You dont have to call as much as you do I'd give 'em back to be through with you And so what My momma liked you What now i guess you think i will too Even if The Pope said he liked you to i don't really care 'cuz you're a bug-a-boo Chorus It's not hot That when im blocking your phone number you call me over your best friend's house And it's not hot That i cant even go out with my girlfriends Without you tracking me down You need to chill out with that mess 'Cuz you can't keep having me stressed 'Cuz everytime my phone rings It seems to be you and im prayin that it is someone else I dont give a damn cuz you're a bug-a-boo When you callin' me on the phone you're buggin' me When your following me around you're buggin' me Everything you do be buggin' me You're buggin' me you're buggin' me When you show up at my door you're buggin' me When you open up your mouth you're buggin' me Everytime i see your face you're buggin' me, you're buggin' me, your buggin' me Chorus ~~~~~~~~~ No No No~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Boy I know you want me I can see it in your eyes But you keep on frontin' Won't you say what's on your mind Cause each and every time you need me You give me signs But when I ask you what's the deal You hold it all inside If you wanna be with me You gotta keep it real Tell me what's goin' on Tell me how you feel Cause boy I know you want me Just as much as I want you So come and get my love It's all here for you You'll be sayin' no, no, no, no, no When it's really yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah You'll be sayin' no, no, no, no, no When it's really yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah You'll be sayin' no, no, no, no, no When it's really yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah You'll be sayin' no, no, no, no, no When it's really yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah If you keep actin' this way You're gonna lose my love I ain't got no time to play You better hurry up Cause every time I come around Crews run around your way I see you on the corner But you don't know what to say When I walk up to you baby You seem so shy What's the problem baby Never had a girl like I I can see right through you And you know you wanna be mine So get your act together Cause you're running out of time You'll be sayin' no, no, no, no, no When it's really yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah You'll be sayin' no, no, no, no, no When it's really yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah You'll be sayin' no, no, no, no, no When it's really yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah You'll be sayin' no, no, no, no, no When it's really yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah You won't regret I must confess I'm really feelin' you Anything you ever wanted before Is right here for you For you Don't worry what they say Just bring your love away Cause your friends can't do What I can for you I don't wanna hear you say Baby tell me yes Tell me yeah Don't tell me no, no Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah Don't tell me no, no Tell me what I wanna hear Why a yes And not a no You make me say You'll be sayin' no, no, no, no, no When it's really yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah You'll be sayin' no, no, no, no, no When it's really yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah You'll be sayin' no, no, no, no, no When it's really yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah You'll be sayin' no, no, no, no, no When it's really yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~INDEPENDENT WOMAN~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Lucy Liu... with my girl, Drew...
