Ok, i am ellie and this little venture is my web page. Its not really about anything exactly, just afew things that i'd like to share, things that have made me happy, or just made me think, and i want other people to share that.
The first thing i want to talk about is love - not what it is, how we get it or what it entails but something more important than that - how we feel it. Oasis came pretty close to depicting this with a very simple line, which if you think about makes a hell of a lot of sense.
"Thank you for the sun the one that shines on everyone who feels love. Now theres a million years between my fantsies and fears - I feel love".
Its like they suggest that when you love someone, the sun always shines on you, and that everything else in the world dissapears and all you know is the way you feel. If you have heard the song (who feels love) then you will know that it is a very mellow, drifty song and portrays love to be a surreal and enlightening experience. That is what love should be.
Floating away from the love topic now, i'll go onto something else. I am obsessed with quotes - quotes which i have read or quotes which have been 'given' to me. Has anyone ever given you a quote, a poem or a song? It is a really wonderful feeling, belive me. A friend of mine was given a song by this guy just before he asked her out (not just any guy, this guy had been hopelessly in love with her for a long time and afetr a year and many many obsticles they are still together now) and it is entitled "feels like home". He gave it to her cos thats what she means to him, and that is what giving people quotes is all about - showing them how much they mean to you the way they mean somthing. This same girl wrote this quote to me in a birthday card:
"Evil tears emitted flow

We scream and run to hide.
But friendship lends its face to love,
And into its arms we run.
Because friends they are our starlight,
And in their hearts - the sun.
